Our story

Ukraine’s first mobile ride-hailing app

Uklon was launched as an additional project of Evos, an IT company that developed taxi software. It was expected to solve an issue of phoning for a taxi that caused trouble to many users. Uklon was launched on March 25, 2010 and became the first service in Ukraine to hail a taxi via a mobile app. The name Uklon is an abbreviated name of the Ukraine online portal, where the first taxi hailing took place.
In its infancy, the Company had 4 co-founders: Dmytro Dubrovskyi, CEO, Viktoriia Dubrovska, who was in charge of finance, Serhii Smus, who dealt with sales, and 21-year-old Vitalii Diatlenko, who was responsible for product development.
The service is currently available in 3 countries: Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The rider app has already been downloaded by over 19.5 million users. Every month, Uklon clients make more than 4 million rides.
